UDOIT Overview

What is UDOIT?

The Universal Design Online Content Inspection Tool, or UDOIT (pronounced, “You Do It”) is a course accessibility tool that allow us to scan our course content and generate a detailed report of accessibility issues, errors and recommendations.

What does it do?

UDOIT identifies “errors” and provides “suggestions” in the following areas of your course:

• Announcements

• Assignments

• Discussions

• Files (i.e. html files or documents)

• Pages

• Syllabus

• Module URLs

It will ensure that that documents and course materials adhere to the 5 Principles for creating accessible documents.
