How to create an announcement

17 STEPS
1. The first step is to open your Canvas Course and click Announcements.
2. Click Add announcement
3. Click Topic Title and enter your title
4. Enter your announcement text
5. To add an image to your announcement, click the Insert Image dropdown menu
6. Click Upload Image
7. Either drag and drop your image, or click and browse the computer for your image
8. If your image size needs to be adjusted then click on the image to get the options menu
9. Click the Image Options menu
10. Enter your Width
Typically a good width for an image on a Canvas page will be around 250 to 600 pixels
11. You can enter alternative text, or mark the image as decorative
12. Click Done
13. You can post your announcement at a later date by clicking Delay posting
14. Click the Calendar icon
15. We will post this announcement on the 12th
16. Scroll down and click Save
17. That's it. You're done.
